Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet Senel is a Turkish urologist and academic, currently serving at Ankara City Hospital (Ankara Şehir Hastanesi) with a specialty in urology. He completed his medical schooling at Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine (2008-2014). He then undertook his specialty (residency) training in Urology at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital between July 2015 and May 2019

Dr. Şenel’s clinical practice focuses on stone disease, kidney stone surgery (including percutaneous nephrolithotomy and retrograde intrarenal surgery), urological emergencies such as phimosis, paraphimosis, balanoposthitis, and acute urinary retention. He combines surgical skill with academic research, publishing in national and international journals (for example in Endourology Bulletin) and contributing to essential urology textbooks and emergency urology manuals.

Alongside his hospital duties, Dr. Şenel is involved in physician training, lectures, and educational programs in Turkey, participating in societies like ESRU (European Society of Residents in Urology), EAU, etc.
