About
Professor Dr. Patrick Treacy is an Irish aesthetic physician and dermatologist renowned worldwide for his contributions to the advancement of cosmetic medicine, patient safety, education, and humanitarian work. Born in Northern Ireland, he trained in Molecular Biology (Queen’s University Belfast) and Medicine (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland), followed by specialization in dermatology at UCD in Dublin.
He is the Medical Director of Ailesbury Clinics in Dublin & Cork, which he established in 2002, and has been pivotal in introducing advanced aesthetic techniques, teaching best practices, and setting high standards in both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments. His clinical interests include filler complications & safety (especially via hyaluronidase protocols), skin rejuvenation, lasers, injectables, and regenerative medicine.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Treacy has authored books (e.g. Prevention and Management of Aesthetic Complications), published over a hundred peer-reviewed articles, and trained thousands of doctors and nurses globally. He is active in humanitarian causes, particularly in underserved regions in Africa and elsewhere, and has been recognized for integrating educational outreach, activism, and medical innovation.
