About
Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Jünemann was an internationally renowned urologist and academic leader. He served as Professor of Urology and Pediatric Urology at Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel, Germany, and until October 2022, he was the Director of the Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology at University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Campus Kiel. A pioneer in minimally invasive and robot-assisted urological surgery, he contributed significantly to uro-oncology, andrology, pelvic floor and incontinence management, and reconstructive urology. He authored more than 300 publications, developed the well-known “Kiel Concept” for erectile function rehabilitation after prostate surgery, and actively lectured and collaborated worldwide. He also held leading roles in various national and international urological societies.
